Lewis Hamilton was fastest in second practice ahead of the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.
Reigning world champion Kimi Raikkonen was fastest in the first practice session and he set the early pace in the afternoon session too, but Hamilton beat the Finn's time by more than a second to finish top of the timesheets.
"We made the best use of the ever-improving track conditions" - Lewis Hamilton
Hamilton said: "There was some good progress with the car and we made the best use of the ever-improving track conditions."
Hamilton will be hoping his good form continues in qualifying on Saturday but Raikkonen revealed he was unhappy with his Ferrari's set-up during the second practice run.
He said: "This morning we found some good settings for the car but in the afternoon we struggled and our lap times reflect that.
"We must look carefully at the data to work out how to improve the car."
