POLICE are revving up to give crooks a high-speed shock by pursuing them in a 200mph Formula 1 supercar.

And when they are nicked, the stunned criminals are likely to wonder: “Who do they think they are – Lewis Hamilton?”

The 200mph two-seater Caparo T1 is designed by the same engineers who made the McLaren F1 car driven by racing idol Lewis, 23.

Now the Metropolitan Police are looking to use it as a rapid response vehicle to react to 999 calls after the car was given the all-clear to be used on UK roads.

The car can accelerate from 0 to 60mph in just 2.5 seconds and will hit 100mph in five seconds. A police source said: “The Caparo would ensure officers can get to the scene of a crime faster. It’s certainly something we’ll be looking at getting.”

i know

some innocent person will end up getting killed by one of them!!

the police annoy me they spend more time chasing theives and stuff when they should be out finding all the murderers etc!

dont get me started on that though cos it will turn into a huge debate....... i should be prime minister me!!lol!! id get rid of all the wierdos!!!
